The Beaches
Kids love beaches, so what is better than a day at the beach with the backdrop of one of the most historic cities in the United States? Charleston SC is the home to two distinct beaches. Each of the beaches has its own personality.

The Forbidden Island

If you love a mystery, consider a vacation on Kauai, Hawaii.

Here’s the mystery: what’s it like on the Hawaiian island of Ni’ihau? This 550-square-mile island is the westernmost of the main Hawaiian islands and has been privately owned since 1864 by the Robinson family, which forbids tourists.

Ni’ihau (Nee-ee-how) is visible from the southwest shore of Kauai, lying low on the horizon 17 miles away. There are 200 or so native Hawaiians who live there and speak the Hawaiian language. In fact, it’s the only place the language is spoken any more. It is taught in the island’s only school, which goes K-8.

Senior citizens are one of the most likely groups to holiday abroad, but it is also this group that can have the most difficulty in getting an affordable deal on travel insurance.

There are insurance companies that specialise in providing cover for the over 65’s, as well as a number of non-specialist policies available that cater for the older traveller.

However, some insurers no longer offer multi-trip annual travel insurance cover to older holiday makers, meaning that the older generation are often excluded from the cheapest travel insurance options available.

It can be really hard to find the funds for a holiday for a lot of people out there and it can add extra stress, especially when they cannot afford to go on anywhere.

The price of a holiday can accumulate quite steeply and a lot of families miss out because of their finances. By searching for a cheap holiday or a cheap flight, it helps to eliminate the stress and get a good holiday on a low budget. So if you are worried that you cannot have a good holiday on a budget then you are wrong. Many people think that cheap means trashy but if you look around on the internet you can find some great cheap holidays and cheap flights too.

The Death Of Timeshares

Timeshares attract people who like to travel. They are suppose to be a way for you to stay at beautiful resorts that you share ownership with and you get to stay at in most cases once a year. They can range anywhere from 15,000 to even $50,000. There are different types and there are some that you can stay at more than once a year.

Here is something that I discovered. There are travel memberships out there that let people stay at the same timeshares that many timeshare owners own, for even less than what owners are paying. These travel membership companies negotiate deals, make bulk reservations with resorts in advance and members of these travel memberships actually stay at these resorts at better rates than the timeshare owners themselves.

Don’t know what it is about going on a cruise that compels some to pack like they were joining a one year expedition to Siberia. But they typically pack twice as much as they need. Showing they are painfully unaware of what to wear on a cruise.

Naturally it helps if you know what to expect. And if you’ve spent time on a cruise ship previously you should be better prepared than someone leaving the dock for the first time. Since from experience you’re aware of what to wear on a cruise. Or at least should know what goes and what doesn’t.

Ireland is a gorgeous country known from its rugged beauty, dreamy landscaped and rich culture and folklore background. There is no escaping from a colourful past and a sense of history seeps though every old building. When rambling through the Irish countryside you will encounter ruins, cottages and even the remains of ancient castles and churches.

The best way to get to know Ireland and its beauty is by mixing in with the local population. Every Irish village has a traditional pub where you can drink, eat for little money and often you can enjoy some great live music here. There are many self-catering cottages available for rent in Ireland. All over the area you can stay in this traditional type of Irish housing and many cottages are historic buildings and have a rich past.

There are few streets as famous as Broadway in New York City. The Theater District, also known as the Great White Way, has about 20 landmark theaters. Whether you choose the newest smash hit or want to see a smaller, lesser-known Off-Broadway show, there is no experience quite like Broadway!

We are now officially traveling as a family band of four: two parents on guitar and backup, a toddler on lead vocals, and an infant on drums (3 mos. old). After a little trial and error, we’ve discovered a few things about flying with our children that may make it a little easier on our next excursions. We’ve traveled a fair amount with our firstborn (our toddler and lead singer), but vagabonding with two is a whole different ball of wax.

How To Become A Pilot

Mary Wells was wrong. She was the head of a trendy New York advertising agency back in the 1970 era and she once said…advertising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Yes, advertising is fun, but compared to flying, advertising is just a little snuggle .I am often asked by dads and sometimes young folks, what do you have to do to become a pilot?

The journey can be a tough one. You have to get through lots of tests and ratings and frankly, you have to have some luck. I had my share .
