Bathroom tile designs have come a long way in recent years; the huge range of types available can delay the start of the project but should be worth it in the end. If you have a large bathroom this can be quite a daunting prospect so it is lucky that the range of styles, finishes and textures, is extensive; this is convenient of course because there will probably something that will suit your style within your budget. Some tile designs are more desirable than others including those that are more traditional like stone, Italian marble and the famous harlequin design but colorful tiles are also becoming more popular.

For those of you that cannot picture the harlequin bathroom tile, imagine black and white squares turned on their edge to resemble a diamond shape. This type of tile is usually in a rectangular shape as opposed to the more common square and if you prefer, it is available with many other color choices.

But it is the classic white tile with small black squares which is my favorite which has a much cleaner look and is normally available without having to place a special order. To give a really clean and elegant look to your bathroom, why not fit chrome fittings to the bath, shower and hand basin.

This can make any bathroom look like it has had an expensive remodeling but not everyone is happy about fingerprints on highly polished bathroom fittings like chrome for instance. If you have younger children then this is something you need to think about because you will spend considerable time each day cleaning the fixings.

Despite the color choices it is the traditional black on white that provides the best finish and is usually the easiest to buy without having to place a special order. If you have a little more to spend you may want to consider marble in your bathroom tile design and although it is expensive it will provide an unparalleled look and feel which everyone will admire.

A good compromise when funds will not extend to expensive tiles is to have a good bathroom tile that is reasonably priced as the foundation for your bathroom tile design. Once you have this it is a simple matter of choosing a higher quality tile to place within the overall design and as you won\’t be using a huge number of them, it really wont matter how much they cost.

This is the one area where getting a professional to carry out the tiling for you will be worthwhile and provide that special finish. Although it is obviously much cheaper to tile yourself your bathroom remodeling project will take longer. You may waste more tiles than you anticipate but will the result look as good?</P.Tags: , , ,
