In the United States, each year an average of 8,000 people receive snake bites from venomous snakes. Some of these people are bitten from the result of not being able to identify the snake, while some others are bitten for the result of identifying the snake incorrectly and getting close to it thinking that it is safe to do so. Even the ‘harmless’, non-venomous snakes can cause a severe infection or an allergic reaction in many people.

Proactively securing airport grounds requires strategic planning at the highest levels and access to critical information that serves to enhance safety measures for ground support crews. Without appropriate planning, implementation, and follow-through to ensure that a plan is producing the desired results, airport grounds exposure to deadly incursions is significantly increased.

Creating stopgap measures between incidences and securing airport ground environments is critical to a loss prevention program. In addition, incorporating proactive management components that include required safety training, regulatory safety integration measures, and proactive incident detection that include safety response tactics is equally important to sustain safe operating conditions. Finally, safety compliance verification, internal/external safety management, and disseminating critical safety information to create “proactive responses” for improved safety standards at airports is gaining congressional support.

By now you know where you’re going, when you’re off and where you’re going to be heading to and maybe even booked your accommodation. But you will still need access to more money while you’re away - there are souvenirs, entrance fees, local transport, meals, tips, coffee’s, tea and scones, etc., etc. that you will need to pay for as you travel to all these incredible places you’re planning to visit.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist part of my work is ensuring that people reduce their stress. Reducing stress is a easy way to ensure that you are less likely to face common health problems. One way I reduce my stress, besides getting regular massages myself, is to take cruises. I love cruises and usually have at least one planned, but I’ve come to know that even on the most modern of cruise ships you have to take some precautions.

Everyone travels at a different rate. What we mean by that is that some like to take it easy and calmly experience what they can while others want to see as much as they can in the shortest possible time and still others are after excitement and tons of adrenaline.

You need to be aware of the type of traveler you are and make sure you plan a holiday and choose travel companions who are of the same mind. Go to the wrong place with the wrong people and it will not be what you had hoped it would be. Can you imagine getting caught up in a white water rafting holiday down the Yukon River in mid-winter when all you wanted to do was see local native artifcats and take pictures for the bird-watching club back home?
